Whether you want to recover a cherished moment or simply retrieve a deleted post, follow these instructions to get your story back.

Step 1: Check Your Deleted Stories

First, open the Instagram app on your smartphone. Tap the camera icon on the top left corner to access the camera screen. Here, you will see a “Your Story” option. Scroll through the list of stories to find the one you want to restore. If you see the deleted story in the list, it means you have already deleted it, and you can proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Access the Archive

If you don’t see the deleted story in the “Your Story” section, it might be stored in your archive. To access the archive, tap the three horizontal lines on the top right corner of the camera screen. Scroll down and tap on “Archive.” Here, you will find all your archived stories, including the recently deleted ones.

Step 3: Restore the Deleted Story

Once you have located the deleted story in the archive, tap on it to open it. You will see a “Restore” option at the bottom of the screen. Tap on it to restore the story to your “Your Story” section. The story will now appear in your timeline, and you can share it with your followers again.

Step 4: Save the Story to Your Camera Roll

If you want to save the deleted story as a photo or video, you can save it to your camera roll. After restoring the story, tap the three dots on the top right corner of the screen. Select “Save” to save the story as a photo or video to your device’s camera roll.

Remember:

– The process of restoring a deleted Instagram story is only possible if the story has been deleted within the last 24 hours. After 24 hours, the story is permanently deleted, and there is no way to recover it.
– If you have cleared your app cache or deleted the Instagram app and reinstalled it, you won’t be able to restore the deleted story.
– Regularly backing up your Instagram stories can help you avoid losing them in the future. You can back up your stories by accessing the archive and tapping the three dots on the top right corner. Select “Back Up Archive” to save your stories to your device’s camera roll.
